Terry Roberts

I began doing optician work in 1981 for a commerical optical store, and was quickly promoted to store manager. To become better acquainted with pathologies and other specialty work, I left for private practice. Three years later I went to work as a manager in a well-established practice with two other Optometrists, one of whom was President of the State Board of Optometry. I started Advanced Optics in November 1991, and we are now celebrating our 15th year.

Dr. Shawn Tubiello, Optometrist

I have been with Advanced Optics since graduation from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1995. My goal is to provide thorough, comprehensive eye care for the entire family. I make a priority of educating patients about their eyes and explaining any treatments I prescribe. In addition to providing routine exams for glasses and contacts, I am board-certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. This allows me to treat problems such as conjunctivitis and corneal abrasions right in the office. I also work closely with many area Ophthalmologists to co-manage cataract and refractive surgery as well as glaucoma and retinal disease. The Consumer's Research Council named me one of "America's Top Optometrists" for 2001.

Ron Tutko

I have been working as an Optician for over 20 years, with both lab and retail management experience. I truly enjoy working here in Hellertown, where I can give our patients the best service and products. I love being able to share my knowledge and experience with the patients here and still keep the small town atmosphere and personalized service. I also make the glasses here to I have complete control of the finished products. I am certified by the American Board of Opticianry and also a member of the National Academy of Opticianry.

Grayce Mikolajczyk

I have lived and worked in Hellertown for 32 years. If I don't already know you, I know one of your relatives. I have been with Advanced Optics since it opened and hope to remain there until I retire. My many responsibilities mainly revolve around answering the phone, scheduling appointments, ordering contact lenses and helping patients select frames.

Jeannette Fields

I spend time every day at Advanced Optics, submitting and checking on insurance claims for patients. I am also Grayce's older sister. While I no longer reside in Hellertown, I was educated and continue to work here. I enjoy working with the paperwork end of this business and work hard to get money from your insurance company. Everyone knows how confusing this can be just to understand benefits, not to mention getting paid!
